The energetically created works of Tama Art University Nihonga Painting Department graduate Kotaro Fukui have been displayed at both group and solo exhibitions. While ostriches have been a frequent subject of his paintings since a solo show in 1996, his “Broken Flower” series from 2005 marked a transition to a completely new motif pursuing beauty. This exhibition focuses on works featuring ostriches, painted as single forms in process that explores shape, space, and movement.
