This event has ended.

Exhibition of new works by Japanese painter Hiroshi Senju, renowned for his waterfall and cliff series of paintings. This time, Senju has chosen the theme of the Tale of Genji, the world’s first novel — specifically, the skyline that the Tale’s characters and author Murasaki Shikibu herself may have gazed upon. Utilizing traditional materials — namely washi paper and mineral pigments — and a refined style characterized by subtle colouring and delicate brushwork, Senju transports us back to the Golden Age of the Japanese imperial court.
