The ‘Kama’ kettle maker has played an essential role in the history of the tea ceremony and for over 400 years the Onishi family have continued this important art from their base in Sanjo Kamanza, Kyoto. For 16 generations they have protected and championed this tradition and this exhibition highlights the unique beauty and deep charm of the world of the Kama kettle.
