This event has ended.

Exhibition of the works of renowned British potter Bernard Leach (1887-1979) with a focus on his dynamic and unique animal motifs, rendered using a variety of techniques from overglaze painting to engraving. Leech had strong links with Japan and was particularly fascinated by Raku ware (a type of pottery most favoured in the Japanese tea ceremony), which prompted him to experiment more with ceramics. His penchant for animal motifs derived from his love of nature and deep study of Eastern and Western traditions.
