The Kikko kiln has continued to operate since its bestowal by the Tokugawa Shogunate. Makers of Kikko Shogetsu ceramics, now in their ninth generation, will create works in Kisaichi, Katano City. Works commemorating the kiln’s long succession, including pieces by Bansai Kikko (seventh generation), will be on display.
