The Contemporary Art Council (Genbi) was founded in Osaka in 1952 as a forum for artists interested in developing new creative models to meet and freely discuss their ideas as individuals with restraint or categorization. With “new creative models” as its main theme, this exhibition presents the energetic works of artists who participated in Genbi in the 1950s, allowing visitors to experience the passion of these creators and their age.
