poster for The Ships of the Yayoi People

This event has ended.

Yayoi culture is believed to have arrived in Japan by ship over 2,000 years ago. This exhibition examines the boat culture of these settlers, which has been little understood until now. What did their ships look like and how did they build them? How did they navigate? Comparisons with Jomon and other Mongoloid peoples will also be made.
