This event has ended.

Tomoko Esashi has created a character, Kaodeka-kun (the Big-Faced Cat). In this series of sculptures, playfully entitled “National Treasure Cosplay”, Kaodeka-kun rather comically takes the form of some of Japan’s most revered works of Buddhist art - including the statue of Ashura in Kofukuji Temple, Nara (here called Nyashura), Tawaraya Sotatsu’s Raijin and Fuujin (Gods of thunder and lightning) painting (entitled Rainyan and Funyan).
