An exhibition of calligraphy and ink paintings of Chinese dating from the Ming Dynasty up until the founding of the Republic. These works reflect the tastes and lifestyles of the pre-modern Chinese elite, who played a huge role in upholding traditional culture in the country and whose ideals were particularly influential among the cultured classes in Japan during the Edo period.
