The artist riya, born in Chicago in 1985, uses paper-cutting techniques to make magical and folk art-like works with motifs including animals, people, waves, clouds, flames, stars, and eyes. Riya’s first solo show in a year presents pieces inspired by mythologies from around the world. Original illustrations, new works from the “My First Art” series, and special merchandise will be available for sale.
