This event has ended.

This hands-on exhibition aimed at parents and children provides an introduction to Raku ware, which originated in the 16th century when tea master Sen no Rikyu commissioned Raku Chôjirô to make a tea bowl that met his aesthetic principles. The exhibition features easy-to-understand explanations of how raku ware is made, with examples of other contemporary Japanese and Korean wares to contrast and compare.
