Following the sudden passing of Senzo Nishimura on 26th December 2012 a special retrospective exhibition has been touring around the Kanto and Kansai regions, making its last stop here in Osaka. His works born from an intensity of concentration have captured the hearts of many and this exhibition gives special feature to his copper plate print Arlequin series begun after his return from studies in Paris, featuring delicately descriptions of behind the scenes of the café stage shows and everyday living, depicted with warm pathos. These are shown alongside his later pencil works which take their theme as “the pursuit of the core of eternity”.
