Kimiyo Mishima (b. 1932, Osaka) is renowned for his ceramic works covered in silk screened text, but his early collage works produced between the 1950’s-70’s also drew much attention at the time. This exhibition brings a focus to his early painting period and traces their development to his current object based works, allowing us to reassess the trajectory of this senior artist.
