This event has ended.

An exhibition of 139 pieces of Imari Sometsuke (blue and white) platters. Imari originated in the Edo Period in the former Hizen domain of Kyushu. In the latter half of the Edo Period, plates became larger and more elaborate to accommodate a changing food culture. The designs on these pieces range from auspicious symbols to subjects from popular ukiyo-e prints and the Seven Lucky Gods, reflecting the tastes of that time.
