Kyoto Municipal Institute of Industry and Culture has been training Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki potters in Kyoto since 1899, introducing them to both Japanese and foreign pottery styles. On display in this exhibition are pieces from their collection with particularly beautiful inlay designs that were perhaps once used as references for trainees back in the Meiji Period.
