10th Anniversary Special Exhibition of Cloisonné: Birds and Butterflies Leaping Through Time

To commemorate 10 years since the Museum’s founding, an exhibition will be held in collaboration with Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum to display the latter’s collection of Namikawa Cloisonné (Shippo) pieces. The subject matter on many of these pieces, besides landscapes, include birds, flowers, and insects: Namikawa himself is said to have been inspired by the life in the museum’s attractive garden.
