This event has ended.

An exhibition with the aim of supporting crafts in Tohoku by Kansai-based artists. A large number of old and unused ceramic vessels were collected and fired together in a kiln at 1300 degrees, thus distorting their shape, and in some cases welding pieces together, and causing dramatic “yohen” or kiln effects such as globules of vitrified glaze (called biidoro); effectively creating entirely new pieces.
