After studying sculpture at the graduate school of the Kyoto City University of Arts Ryotaro Fuyuki has built his artistic practice upon painting, moving image and photography. In this exhibition he presents a collection of painting work generated from an attempt to judge by the moment and learn the means by which to draw upon the pressure of transformation which occurs when painting. This is shown alongside sculptural works which further the will to practice the layering of judgement from one moment to the next. Here Fuyuki explores how through the use of image one’s originality may may be preserved in face of the unconscious socialization of the individual.
