From the 1930s to the 1950s, painter and manga artist Saseo Ono was active in a great variety of media, creating cartoons for manga magazines, illustrations for serial novels in the newspapers, while also appearing in films and radio shows. This exhibition features over fifty exhibits from this genius who lived as the darling of the Showa era, from drawings in pen to oil paintings, hanging scrolls and other original art, as well as over one hundred exhibits of related materials like magazines that published his works, and posters, with a focus upon his depictions of women.
