Koryo Museum of Art
This event has ended.
From the Muromachi era to the Edo era emissaries from Korea regularly visited to Japan, with a trail of their influence and exchange left behind through various writings, drawings, poems and correspondence. This exhibition traces the relations between the two countries with a focus upon the instrumental role of Korean monk and royal envoy Song-un (1544–1610) who came to negotiate a peace accord with Tokugawa Ieyasu and the essential work of Confucian scholar Hoshu Amenomori(1668-1755) in furthering diplomatic relations.
