Exhibition of the collection of Shibakawa Terukichi (1871-1923) recently acquired by the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto. Among these 180 works acquired by the museum are important works by notable modern Japanese artists who painted in the Western style, including Aoki Shigeru (“Enjoyment”) and Kishida Ryusei (“Road Cut Through a Hill,” designated an Important Cultural Property). Also on display are ceramics and other craft works by Kenkichi Tomimoto, Unosuke Kawai and Tatsukichi Fujii.
