Hikari Sugimoto, who has presented works at Art Osaka, Kobe Art Marché, and P.A.D.vol.17, is known for friendly-looking sculptures of faces made from cardboard. Sugimoto returns to Ashiya Garo with a solo show after an extended absence. This exhibition lets visitors experience Sugimoto’s art outside of the confined spaces of art fair hotel, instead viewing it through the gentle light of the gallery’s windows.
