This event has ended.

Called “the God of zines”, Takashi Jinnai has been making self-produced publications since he was a child in San Francisco in the 1960s. Jinnai is credited with starting the zine movement, and the term zine is said to partially be a play on the “jin” part of his name. His influence has been felt all the more strongly since his death, with exhibitions and retrospectives of his work being held around Japan in the past few years. This exhibition tells the full story of this obscure figure, with a talk and performance by Joji Nakamura and Ken Kagami, two of the artists closest to him, as well as a workshop. Please note that these events require reservations.
