The Impressionists of the 19th century brought a new focus to the waterside leisure spots of France, celebrating an abundance of nature and a time of relaxation. With the riverside resorts of the Seine in Paris and the coastal districts of Normandy becoming popular holiday destinations this exhibition reflects upon the leisure time of 19th century Europe through 73 works of the Impressionists.
