Minori Yata, a graduate student and lecturer at University of California, San Diego, works in an array of media including painting, sculpture, installation, performance, and poetry. An acquaintance of the New York quilting artist Faith Ringgold, Yata is known for using fine art techniques in quilting. These works of contemporary art are on display.
