Finnish designer Eero Aarnio is known as one of the most revolutionary forces in contemporary furniture design. He was one of the first designers to use plastic in furniture-making in the 1960s, thereby making a successful departure from traditional methods of design with bright and organic shapes. Eero Aarnio’s pieces are held in collections around the world, including the New York Museum of Modern Art, London’s V&A Museum, and the Vitra Design Museum.
