Presenting ceramics made with clay from Sanage. These works are additions to series employing a variety of techniques and styles, which include Shiragaki ware weaving refined imagery from rough earth and fiery colors, Iga ware that allows for the enjoyment of volcanic ash, warping, and other rich transformations in the kiln, the “lovely simplicity” of Shino and Kiseto ware, and the elegant warmth of blue and white Korai ware.
