Waichi Tsudaka “Spirit of Abstraction”
Enokojima Art, Culture and Creative Center
This event has ended.
A pioneer of abstract art, Waichi Tsudaka was a contemporary post-war painter active not only in Kansai but throughout Japan, through the 50s to the 70s. Although fairly unknown to the younger generations, many people will identify him through his artwork that has appeared on uncountable Junkudo bookstore book covers: a series of brush strokes that resemble a blue ribbon. An opportunity to see the work of an important and still current artist.
