Kineaesthetic combines the word kinesthetic, meaning movement, with aesthetic, a sense of beauty. The feeling one gleans while looking at a work of is momentary. While it is important to interpret works in light of our own knowledge and experience, before reaching this stage there is a more reflexive emotion and pleasure closer to the piece’s essence. The artist posits within Kineaesthetic the power to discover this essence, creating an exhibition of works that more deeply stir the emotions.
