Akira Nishitake, a contemporary artist working across different media such as painting, animation, and font design recreates images of his voyage by sea to Shanghai from his diary for this exhibition. These collages of watercolor paintings show the pre-war landscape where his grandfather had lived in childhood and the present landscape that Nishitake saw.
