Hiroo Amano (b. 1954) graduated from the sculpture department of Tama Art University’s graduate school. His works of bronze, ceramics, glass, and stone have been featured in solo exhibitions, group shows, and open-call displays. Made with the wood of sacred trees in his hometown in Gifu Prefecture, these works are his first attempt and wooden sculpture. Works of various sizes bringing out the beauty and life of the grains and knots of the sacred trees are on display.
