Nara-born Yoshimizu Kaimon is a graduate of the Tokyo University of Arts. Kaimon’s works use natural animals and plants as a motif. Instead of serving as a simple “sculpture” of nature, he considers the state of “existence” and elegantly models the surrounding periphery, background and scenery.
