This event has ended.

Popular with children and adults alike, the Osaka-based graphic designer and illustrator Yoshifumi Hasegawa made his debut as a picture book artist in 2001 with “Ojiichan no Ojiichan no Ojiichan no Ojiichan” (Granpa’s Grandpa’s Grandpa’s Grandpa). Hasegawa, whose dynamic and humorous artistic style has charmed readers, has since published more than 100 picture books. Taking the richness of everyday life filled with laughter and tears as their theme, Hasegawa’s books express personal messages and have received multiple prizes, including the Japan Picture Book Award. Hasegawa is currently featured in an MSB TV program, and holds lively picture book readings across Japan. This exhibition offers an extensive introduction to Hasegawa’s world with original illustrations from throughout his picture book career, including representative and new works.
