The “ 52 wooden Worshiping Bodhisattvas on Clouds” displayed on the wall surface of the Phoenix Hall was created by Jocho, the most highly regarded master sculptor of Buddhist images of the Heian Period, who also sculpted the opulent Seated Statue of Amitabha Tathagata. This exhibition introduces other original, one-of-a-kind fine art and reveals the secret to his expressive power.
