This exhibition of Erika Kusumoto’s works is the first in a series at Gallery Shibatacho aiming to discover and support young artists. At first glance Kusumoto’s paintings seem to be abstract, but she does not intentionally paint them this way. She uses Nihonga painting materials to portray the colors and ambiances of towns.
