Born in Fukui City in 1947, Yoshiaki Matsui entered the limelight when he was awarded the Showa-Kai Prize in 1984. Since then, he has continued to actively hold solo exhibitions in Paris and across Japan. These fifty new works inspired by his stays in Paris demonstrate the charms of his painting with skillful technique and vivid lines.
