Through visiting many places and interacting with local people, Hyslom made discoveries that raised some questions. As a young artist group, they found their own style by utilizing various mediums. In this exhibition, Hyslom will cultivate their relation to the land, scenery and buildings based on the demolition and construction of a friend’s house. Being a part of the reconstruction and demolition of kominka (old Japanese-style house), and getting to know a hair stylist and his salon Biseiinn (beauty arrangement salon, in which he doesn’t even cut hair if he doesn’t feel it is necessary. He merely arranges the beauty of clients to discover their true self.) they develop relationships with local people and various places. In this show, the stories interweaving their experiences in the media of film, photos, and performance is told. A chance to experience one of Hyslom’s new directions.
