In recent years young artists are showing an increasing interest in wood block printing, taking on the appeal of analogue production rather than that of the digital, and imbuing the traditional Japanese technique with a new sensibility. Masahiko Honjyo has also devoted himself to the practice with fresh yet delicate expressions of contemporary Japanese aesthetic.
