In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Borderless Art Museum NO-MA brings back “Happy Golden Years,” an exhibitfirst held in 2006. The aging population is even more of an acute issue than it was at the time of the previous show eight years ago, and society’s understanding of the term “elderly” has broadened. As Japan faces the aging of its population on an unprecedented scale, NO-MA is reconsidering the concept of “borderless art.” With the knowledge that old age is part of a rich life, this exhibition is an opportunity to look at the value of life with abundant creativity.
