This event has ended.
The Kyoto print shop Unsodo opened in 1891 as an art publisher. Today it is Japan’s only publisher of handmade woodblock print books bound in the traditional Japanese style. It boasts a collection of tens of thousands of prints produced since its founding, including many valuable works. This exhibition displays some of Unsodo’s most important prints, among them Jakuchu Ito’s “Genpo Youka” and Sekka Kamisaka’s Rimpa-style prints.
