Galerie Ashiya Schule is pleased to present “Endless”, an exhibition of works by Midori Terashima. Terashima has vigorously continued to pursue modern pictorial space and its meaning. While painting her memory again and again, the composition of the painting develops dynamically; different images mix together and enhance to create a unique presence. Wishing to free herself from simply fine or beautiful drawings, Terashima seeks the genuineness of painting through so-called primitive works.
A newly published research book on Midori Terashima’s work, written by Mizuho Kato, is also available.
