This event has ended.

This extensive two-part exhibition includes works from two of Seigo Aoki’s major collections. Part I presents oil paintings from “Skin Behind the Eyes”, a series reminiscent of the New Impressionist painter Georges Seurat. Seven paintings, including a giant 150 canvas-size work, demonstrate Aoki’s unique pointillist style featuring geometric shapes. Part II exhibits the drawings of “Shadows, 100 Persons— To Japan From Portugal”, which use only red, green, and blue— the three primary colors of light— and no black. Displayed at once, these 100 silhouettes have the power to overwhelm.

Part I: Jun. 6 (Fri)–Jun. 22 (Sun)
Part II: Jun. 27 (Fri)–Jul. 13 (Sun)
