Kyoto City University of Arts Gallery @KCUA
This event has ended.
To mark his retirement from the Kyoto City University of Arts Hideki Kimura presents an exhibition focusing upon his work of the 1970s, including the famed work of “The Pencil”. His work of noble forms and deep reflections has won acclaim not just in Japan but also internationally. He is also respected as one of the leading artists in Japan to incorporate photography into print making through the use of the silk screen print, with his own unique interpretation of the techniques of pop art. He joined the Kyoto City University of Arts in 1995 and has worked tirelessly in the efforts to cultivate the skill and thinking of young people. This exhibition celebrates his contributions to the university by placing a spotlight on him not as a professor but as an artist of singular ability.
