The “Group 81” exhibition first held in 2009 was a unique exhibition in that it marked the shared age of its participants and gained in age each year with them with the “Group 81”, “Group 82” exhibitions, building annually with experiences. The group exhibition has continued to mature in this way up to 2013 when sadly two of the participating artists passed away. But art is not to be defeated by age and now in 2014 the “Group 86/74/65” celebrates the ages and skills of its new participating senior artists, with ceramics from 86 year old Yasuo Hayashi, delicate designs from 74 year old Yasufumi Chuuma and prints from 65 year old Hideki Kimura, sharing the eye of a generation.
