Japanese Artists and a Venetian Glass Studio
Tanabe City Museum of Art
This event has ended.
The Kasama Nichido Museum of Art has collected several works of glass art designed by leading Japanese artists and crafted by Venetian artisans. The Japanese artists begin with the premise that their works will be turned into glass, creating original illustrations reflective of their own styles. The artisans of the Pinocchio Art in Glass studio of Murano Venice then turn these designs into unparalleled glass creations, pouring skill and artistic sensibility cultivated over a period of many years into their works. This exhibition introduces a number of these splendid creations made in this remarkable collaboration.
