This show presents works by five members of the Seiryu no Kai, a group of Nihonga painters who consider sketching to be the foundation of the creative process. Drawing on colors and forms universally found within nature, they vividly express the emotion derived from sketching in their final works. This exhibition presents sketches for completed paintings.
