All About the Higashi Sonoda Ruins

The Amagasaki Municipal Museum of the Tano

poster for All About the Higashi Sonoda Ruins

This event has ended.

The ruins of a village that existed in the Yayoi through Kamakura periods (800–2,000 years ago) have been discovered in northeastern Amagasaki’s Higashi Sonoda area. A great number pottery samples from the end of the Yayoi period through the Kofun period have been found, suggesting that many people once lived in the village. This exhibition introduces the findings of archeological digs since the site was discovery in 2012 through the present day.
