Hisamitsu Noguchi exerted an enormous impact on Japanese graphic design. In addition to working on the cutting-edge of film poster design, he also created art for record jackets, magazines, mystery novels, and more. Focusing on Noguchi’s European film posters, this exhibition presents some 300 examples of his work, including portraits for jazz records, book covers, and magazine illustrations.
