Surrounded by the picturesque nature of Urabandai, Fukushima, the Morohashi Museum of Modern Art is home to a superb collection of work from the Spanish genius Salavador Dai, as well as various other European modern masters. With the renowned melting clocks, the collection includes 350 examples of sculpture, painting and print making from Dali’s imaginative world making it a collection of international eminence.
This exhibition of work from Morohashi Museum of Modern Art has developed from the relationship built with the Museum of Modern Art, Shiga since a collaborative exhibition of 20th century prints realized in 2012. Here the works of such unrivalled greats as Cezanne, Pissarro, Gogh, Renoir, Matisse, Chagall and Picasso are brought together with rare works of Salvador Dali including oil paintings, watercolors, prints and furniture reflecting the wide talents of this colorful artistic genius.
