This event has ended.

Eiko Shintani is an artist who takes on the themes of living happiness, human love and harmony with the environment in a variety of sculptors centering around the female image, with many of her works being featured in public spaces around Kobe. While actively exhibiting her work across a range of platforms she was also most dedicated to the art education of young people. Yet when the Great Hanshin earthquake struck in 1995, she lost her home, members of her family and much of her work. This exhibition presents work saved from the wreckage of that time, and while sympathizing with events of the Great East Japan earthquake points to the power of creation.
